Your New Season Trend Update

A new season is here so we have edited and handpicked the chicest trends for         you to update your wardrobe.

                                  Monochrome

Celine Spring Summer 2013
After last seasons rich colours and hues it was time to go back to black and white. Contrasting black and whites played a huge role on the catwalk. Whether it was a simple black and white separates clash or bold graphic stripes, there were one consistent rule. Keep it Monochrome.

Perfect for our existing wardrobe, a great way to buy into this look is a classic clean white shirt with a black maxi skirt, mix up casual jersey separates with classic pieces to keep this look modern. Add a flash of colour and add a red lip stain to you make up routine.

                                                            Iridescence

Burberry Spring Summer 2013
Its time to shine this summer. Featherweight sheer fabrics, silk, chiffon, micro sequins and organza all shimmered down the catwalk. There were no set rules for this trend, layered up together or worm with matte pieces it was all about making a soft metallic statement.

A great tip for wearing all things shiny is to ground them with neutral hues and soft chiffon blouses for a softer look for the day.

                                      Fluorescent Fashion

Oscar de La Renta Spring Summer 2013

Burst into spring with a strong injection of colour. It was all about picking punchy colours and teaming them with softer fabrics for a feminine look or being bold and clashing them with stripes and graphic prints.

For this trend look out for fluorescent pieces of light knitwear perfect for layering over your existing separates. Keep it simple and choose luxury fabrics for a modern look.

                                                           Alpha Female

Balmain Spring Summer 2013
Super strong suits and separates with some serious authority made up this trend. Really polished and pulled together, designers such as Balmain and Victoria Beckham played with the sexy side of this look by layering tuxedo jackets over sheer blouses and bra tops.

Buy into this trend with a sleeveless jacket, a perfect piece for layering and toughening up any look. Leave it open with loose casual separates or belt it for really pulled together look.

                                                      Super Stripes

Michael Kors Spring Summer 2013

The stripe has confirmed its place within our wardrobe as it was all over the catwalks. Big bold stripes in contrasting colours from crayola brights to monochrome chic. Playing with the size and colours of the stripes is modern way to put a twist on this classic look.

Go for a striped day dress for this and layer with a tougher pieces such a bold bright leather jacket. Its all about moving away from the preppy stripe we all know and embracing a bolder way to wear them.

                                                     Ice Cream Hues

Soft Spearmint, fondant pinks and parma violet purples all made next season one of the sweetest yet. Some collections focused on pretty textured fabrics like brodarie anglais layered over chiffon with intricate embellishment. Nothing was too much for this saccharine trend. Truly beautiful ladylike classics with modern twists. This will be a big hit on the high street.

Style pretty separates with neutral separates, invest in a classic white V t-shirt to layer with these super sweet colours. This will keep it looking grown up and chic. Add a fuchsia pink lip stain and cheek tint to your make up bag too to make you look as fresh and pretty as this look.
